This stunning Christmas
stocking is made up of seven blocks.
Each block
fits the 5x7 inch hoop and is pieced,
quilted and
finished
in the hoop.

Approx. finished size: 20 x 13½ inches or
51 x 34 cm.

Shown above right is the layout for the seven
stocking blocks.
I've used
a decorative star quilting pattern on the stocking. This allows you to use a plain fabric as the base with the quilting done in a contrasting color, so that the
quilting design really shows up. The stocking cuffs have
diagonal cross-hatch quilting to keep the fabric layers nice and flat.
The
finished blocks are then assembled on your sewing machine. Very easy!

Personalize your stocking!
Leave out the quilting lines and use sample stitch-outs or your favorite
festive designs to create something unique.
You could also make an even longer stocking by
repeating the middle row
(see the stocking layout above).
