Our
four generation
family tree project is a superb gift idea for weddings, special birthdays,
anniversaries and retirement.
We've called this project an
Appli-quilt
because it combines appliqué and quilting. The designs are appliquéd onto
the base
fabric and the blue sky background is also stipple quilted in the
hoop. The
completed design consists of 30 blocks,
made up of 5 rows and 6 columns.
Each block fits the 4x4 hoop. The finished size is 22.4 x 18.4
inches or 56 x 46 cm.

What is a family
tree?
A family tree is a "chart" that shows
how members of a family are related to each other. It shows who family
members married and who their children are. The above picture
shows the family tree with blank nameplates (yellow boxes). Add your
family names with your editing software. It couldn't be easier! This project can
be used as a wall-hanging or the center panel of a quilt.
